The hosted PLC Academy lessons work in your browser. The LDmicroWebSim Windows package is part of the private project folder and is not included with this public website. A website cannot start a Windows app on your computer.
For online simulator practice
Return to the Lessons page and open the Open Industry Project link. It runs in your browser and does not require the local Windows package.
Using the Windows package
The optional Windows tool runs only on the computer where it is started and does not connect to a physical PLC.
